To strengthen a culture of applied research, USAID launched the U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy at the National University of Science and Technology in Islamabad, which is partnering with Arizona State University.  Together, these centers at Arizona State University and  and National University of Science and Technology are fostering student and faculty exchanges and conducting energy-related research.
