The USAID Climate Change and Clean Energy Project initially produced a children's storybook on renewable energy sources entitled "R.E. (Renewable Energy) Troopers" as part of the project's Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign.

"R.E. Troopers" is a story about Simon the Sun representing solar energy, Wendy the Wind as wind energy, Henry the Hydro depicting hydroelectric energy, Mikko the Corn as biomass and Gio as geothermal energy.
