WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Agency for international Development will hold its annual public meeting of the Annual Public Meeting of the Advisory Committee on Voluntary Foreign Aid (ACVFA) at Georgetown University to discuss the changing international framework for aid effectiveness. Administrator Shah will make opening remarks, to be followed by panel discussions among USAID leadership and ACVFA members.

ACVFA was established after World War II to serve as a link between the U.S. Government and private voluntary organizations involved in development work abroad. Comprised of private citizens with extensive knowledge of international development, ACVFA promotes cooperation between the public and private sectors in U.S. foreign assistance programs.
