USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah travels to Clemson South Carolina

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Tuesday September 18th, Dr. Rajiv Shah, Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will travel to Clemson South Carolina and Clemson University for a day long visit with U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham and hosted by Clemson University President James F. Barker. Clemson University has a long and proud of history of developing innovative approaches supporting U.S. international aid efforts.

During the visit, Administrator Shah and Senator Graham will participate in an event with Clemson University students and staff in the Self Auditorium at the Strom Thurmond Institute of Government and Public Affairs moderated by President Barker.

In the afternoon, Administrator Shah and Senator Graham will visit Clemson’s Small Ruminant Animal Farm to learn about the university’s Afghanistan Agribusiness Development Team Training Program. The program trains South Carolina Army National Guard units as Extension agents deployed in impoverished areas to help improve agriculture production.
