Assistant Administrator Marcela Escobari Travels to Colombia

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Assistant Administrator for Latin America and the Caribbean Marcela Escobari will make her first official visit as a USAID representative when she travels to Colombia on June 14-19. She will attend the World Economic Forum Latin America in Medellin, Antioquia.  She will also meet with public officials and the private sector in Bogotá to discuss the peace process, development efforts, and economic opportunities.

Assistant Administrator Escobari will finish her trip with a visit to Caucasia (Northern Colombia), where she will engage with local leaders, visit local cacao producers, meet with a women's finance group, and speak with civil society organizations.
