Today, Deputy Assistant Administrator for African Affairs Linda Etim and Director of the Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives Mark Brinkmoeller are in South Sudan to meet with community leaders. Etim and Brinkmoeller will meet with representatives from religious groups, civil society, and women's organizations to discuss how they can ensure diverse voices are heard in South Sudan and how they can work towards peace and reconciliation. They will also listen to the progress of current initiatives on the ground and learn how USAID can best provide support to the people of South Sudan.
