WASHINGTON, D.C. – On June 23, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Dr. Rajiv Shah will travel to New Delhi, India to promote development cooperation between the two countries.

As part of Secretary of State John Kerry’s delegation for the fourth annual U.S.-India Strategic Dialogue on June 23-25, Dr. Shah will participate in discussions on clean energy and climate change, education and women’s empowerment.  

While in India, Administrator Shah will also meet with public and private sector leaders and young innovators at an event highlighting U.S.-India partnership on affordable innovation.  He will announce the winners of the first round of awards for the Millennium Alliance.  The Millennium Alliance is a partnership between USAID, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, or FICCI, and India’s Department of Science and Technology, to support innovations that can deliver transformational development solutions.
