Municipal Services Program

Proper hygiene promotes good health. The Municipal Services Program (MSP) works in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh provinces to upgrade the drinking water and sanitation systems, improve management and service delivery systems, and create public awareness campaigns on good hygiene habits.
 
OBJECTIVES
 
The Municipal Services Program focuses on basic municipal services that affect people's daily lives. In addition to infrastructure improvements, MSP works with local governments to develop urban planning policies and with community-based organizations to champion good hygiene practices.
 
MAIN ACTIVITIES
  • Replace damaged drinking water pipes
  • Reconstruct drains to improve wastewater drainage
  • Support Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Urban Policy Unit
  • Construct a water storage system, pumping system, distribution system and water transmission lines in Jacobabad
  • Train students, professionals, and government employees on municipal service development topics
  • Launch a water, sanitation, and hygiene information campaign
  • Improve the solid waste collection and transportation system in Peshawar and Jacobabad
