The CDCS is a five-year plan based on a strategically-targeted approach to address the complex and interrelated development challenges facing Guatemalan society.
La CDCS - Guatemala apoya las metas de la política externa de EEUU, como enunciadas en el primer pilar de su Política de Desarrollo Global. Se enfoca en la obtención de resultados de desarrollo sostenible, principalmente en las áreas de seguridad y justicia para los ciudadanos, crecimiento económico y desarrollo social en el Altiplano Occidental y manejo sostenible de los recursos naturales para mitigar los impactos del cambio climático global.
