Today, nearly 150 participants gathered to discuss community development progress in Azerbaijan.
Ms. Margot Ellis, Acting Assistant Administrator for United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Bureau for Europe and Eurasia, arrived in Azerbaijan on May 16 for a four-day visit.
GUBA – Today, thanks to joint efforts between Azerbaijan and the United States, residents of Guba district’s Zardabi village celebrated the completion of water access improvement project in the community. United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Ministry of Economy, the local Executive Committee, and the municipal government representatives attended the event. USAID and the Government of Azerbaijan co-financed the project, which was managed by the East-West Management Institute (EWMI).
SABIRABAD – Today, due to joint efforts between Azerbaijan and the United States, residents of the Surra community of Sabirabad district celebrated the completion of a road renovation project. The opening ceremony was attended by Mrs. Anne Cekuta, spouse of U.S. Ambassador Cekuta, along with representatives of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Ministry of Economy, the local Executive Committee, and the municipal government.
Today, due to joint efforts between Azerbaijan and the United States, residents of the Memishler, Garalar, Asadli and Gafarli communities of Sabirabad rayon celebrated the completion of the Milk Collection Facility Cluster Construction Project.
