Overview

This USAID Generic Mission Order Guidance is based on the ADS. The objective of this guidance is to provide a format that ensures consistent publication of Mission-specific guidance. This guidance also ensures that Mission Orders do not create new policy, do not duplicate or contradict existing policy, and do cite the corresponding ADS or AID Handbook chapter as the appropriate authority.Risk assessment is the first process in risk management. USAID uses risk assessment to determine the extent of the potential threat and the risk associated with its information systems. The output of this process helps to identify appropriate controls for reducing or eliminating risk.
