In Tanzania, the USAID/Feed the Future-funded NAFAKA project is helping farmers adopt new technologies that lead to greater efficiency and increased productivity. NAFAKA trained Evodius Molokozi, a rice farmer in Morogoro Region, on good farming practices. Nafaka is also helping Evodius as he scales up production of his innovation: a low-cost, hand-held rice weeder that greatly reduces labor. Through this video, other farmers in Tanzania are able to replicate the rice weeder and see how good agricultural practices save time and money.
