Kabul Schools Program

DATES: June 2007 - March 2011
PARTNERS: United Nations Office of Project Services (UNOPS)

The Ghazi Boys High School and Sardar-e-Kabuli Girls High School in Kabul suffered significant damage during 20 years of conflict.  The two schools accommodate 10,000 students in three shifts.  Under this project, two new schools are being built, both with 75 new classrooms to provide a more comfortable and secure teaching and learning and teaching environment.  Both schools will be completed in late 2010.
