USAID Administrator Shah to Deliver Remarks on Ending Extreme Hunger and Poverty through Agriculture

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On May 21 at 9:00 a.m., U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Dr. Rajiv Shah will deliver remarks at the 2013 Chicago Council Global Food Security Symposium. The remarks will address the  U.S. Government’s efforts, through Feed the Future and support of the New Alliance for Food Security and Nutrition, at ending extreme hunger and poverty through agriculture highlighting the significance of science, trade, and business.

Other guest speakers at the symposium include Tom Vilsack, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture; Paul E. Schickler, President of DuPont Pioneer; Lauren Bush Lauren, CEO of FEED; Helene D. Gayle, President and CEO of CARE; Christopher Polinciski, President and CEO of Land O’Lakes, Inc.; John Ginascol, Vice President of Global Supply, Abbott Nutrition.
